Transforming Grief. Restoring Connection.
THE OFFICIAL HOME OF IADC THERAPY WORLDWIDE
What is IADC?
Developed by Dr. Allan Botkin, IADC Therapy is a brief, intensive treatment designed to help grieving clients. Adapted from EMDR Therapy, it introduces key changes to target the deep sadness associated with loss. In most cases, clients experience a powerful sense of connection with their deceased loved one—an experience that often leads to profound emotional healing.
The Institute at a Glance
At the IADC International Institute, we train and support therapists in providing IADC Therapy—an evidence-informed, compassion-centered approach to grief. Founded in collaboration with Dr. Allan Botkin, our mission is to expand access to this powerful method with clinical integrity and openness to the full range of human experience.
A Message from Dr. Botkin
“I developed IADC over 30 years ago, and I’ve been humbled by how widely it has spread and how deeply it has helped those grieving. Today, I am proud to recognize the IADC International Institute as the only official organization carrying my work forward. The Institute now provides the standardized training, certification, research, and practitioner support that IADC has long needed. All trainings and research endorsed by the Institute reflect the core principles of my original work and represent the current standard of excellence in IADC.”
— Dr. Allan Botkin (1949-2026), Founder of IADC Therapy
